Joanna Brady

Ever since I left my job as a marketing coordinator to join FOCUS in 2010, God has been using me to strengthen His Church by reaching out to His people in a very specific way. Both on and off campus, I have had the privilege of seeing the lives of hundreds of college students come alive in Christ and be radically transformed through prayer, authentic friendships, discipleship relationships and Bible studies. I am convinced that God is raising up a generation of young leaders seeking to answer His call for their lives.

Where I serve

I have the honor of serving at our Denver Support Center as the National FOCUS Greek Manager. FOCUS Greek is a growing movement through FOCUS which specifically reaches fraternity men and sorority women on U.S. college campuses. FOCUS Greek exists to revolutionize Greek culture for Jesus Christ and His Catholic Church that impacts today, tomorrow, and eternity through raising up a transformed generation of fraternity and sorority leaders convicted to bring truth to the world.

My Story

As an undergraduate student at Loras College, my life was significantly impacted by two FOCUS missionaries: Lisa and Katie. They showed me that living a life for Christ was relevant and joyful, and I wanted the same joy they had. I encountered Christ as a person for the first time during college, and after that, my life was never the same.

I joined FOCUS in 2010 after working in the marketing field outside of Chicago for nearly two years. I had the honor of serving four years on campus: my first year at Bradley University and three years at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. In May of 2014 I joined our national FOCUS efforts in Denver, where I now serve as National FOCUS Greek Manager. I help direct our FOCUS Greek movement from a national level, serving as a missionary to our campus missionaries.

Although I was not Greek in college, I became so passionate about reaching out to Greeks when I joined staff and first led a Bible study in Pi Beta Phi. The Lord opened my heart, and the men and women I served on campus inspired me to consider what it was like to be in Greek life. My third year on staff I was fully initiated as an alumnae member of Alpha Chi Omega with the Gamma Mu chapter at Ball State. The women in Alpha Chi there witnessed the beauty of sisterhood to me and the true Christian roots of fraternities and sororities.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. What an incredible opportunity it has been to see the Lord work in the hearts of the students on campus and none of it is possible without a team of supporters! If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.
