Where I serve

I have begun my SIXTH year on staff with FOCUS! I am serving as the Team Director at Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID. It has been a joy to serve the students at ISU and help build up a strong community at St. John's Catholic Center. Our community loves food, swing dancing, ultimate frisbee, hiking, and, of course, gathering to be formed in our Catholic Faith through mass, prayer, Bible studies and other faith-based activities.

I'm blessed to serve alongside 3 other full-time missionaries, all of whom either got married or will be getting married this year. But my favorite missionary teammates are my wife, Annie, and daughter, Magdalena. We are also excited to welcome a new tiny missionary in October- Annie and I are expecting!

Thank you for your willingness to support our mission work! Your partnership means so much to us!

My Story

I have been Catholic my whole life and the faith has always been an important part of my identity. In high school, however, I struggled with knowing exactly where I stood on the faith because I didn’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. On numerous occasions I fell into sins of the flesh and had many difficulties with the Church’s teaching on chastity. When I got to college I began to encounter Christ in a personal way. I got involved in a bible study for the football team and was invited into a one-on-one mentorship by one of the FOCUS missionaries at Benedictine College. I began to fall in love with the Lord and to see Him as a friend I could count on for anything. That caused me to end a relationship I was in with a girl from home and to start running after Christ. I am now consecrated to Jesus through His Blessed Mother Mary, have a deep love and passion for sharing the Gospel, and am married to my best friend, Annie, who is helping me to follow Christ until the day I see Him in eternity.

I began to feel a call to be a laborer for the Kingdom of God my sophomore year of college when I began co-leading a bible study for the football team at Benedictine. With the help of my FOCUS missionary mentor, I learned how to share my faith with other men on campus. Sharing the Gospel and my very self with others was something that brought me great joy and fulfillment. As I came into my senior year of college I felt called to apply for FOCUS and serve as a missionary. Now, 6 years later, I still receive abundant joy as I continue to reach out to men on campus and help them encounter Christ so that they can go on to do the same for others.

Your Impact

YOU can have an impact on these college students! Please join me in this beautiful work of spreading the Gospel to those who may not know about it. I have personally been impacted by the ministry of FOCUS and have had the privilege of walking with students on their own faith journeys. The Lord is so good to those who open their hearts to Him. Your prayers and financial support make it possible for countless others to enter into a relationship with the almighty and ever-living God! Thank you in advance for your generosity and openness to God’s work and may He bless you greatly.
