We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Fresh out of college, I started serving with FOCUS in 2014. I served my first year as an on campus missionary at the University of Pittsburgh and deeply treasure my time on campus. I then served as a Program Director on the East Area team for seven years. I am now serving FOCUS’ efforts in parishes as Chief of Staff of FOCUS Parish. I serve alongside our Vice President on major initiatives such as strategy, expansion, and driving the priorities of our leadership team.
I encountered Christ during my time as a student at George Mason University. I grew up in a loving, Catholic family, but didn’t understand that God desired a personal relationship with me. During my freshman year of college I was in search of happiness and fulfillment, but looked in all the wrong places. It was the friendship extended to me by the FOCUS missionaries and student leaders that inspired me to attend the FOCUS Conference in Baltimore in 2011. All semester I had been searching for truth and by divine providence the Holy Spirit led me there. It was in adoration where I heard Jesus speak to me for the first time, invite me to surrender everything to Him, and promise me the true joy I was searching for. Since that moment, The Lord has been good to His promise and my life with Christ has been the greatest adventure. Through my conversion and inspiration from the FOCUS missionaries, I came to find that my life’s purpose is to become a saint. I am blessed to continue in this mission with FOCUS and the journey of God’s plan for me and my husband, Joey.
FOCUS desires for as many men, women, and children as possible to hear the Gospel and be given the opportunity to give their life to Christ and His Church. While the university campus is the most leveraged place to serve, we have to look where the majority of Catholics are and equip the laity from within which is why FOCUS is now serving in parishes alongside pastors and parish staff across the country.
FOCUS Parish currently serves at 37 parishes with 54 missionaries. We hope to serve 200 parishes with 400 missionaries in the next few years. Please pray for our efforts and consider joining financially to help us reach more souls.
Saint Mother Teresa said, “Some give by going, others go by giving.” As a FOCUS Missionary I am called to live radically for Christ by dedicating myself full-time to this mission. In doing so, I rely solely on the spiritual and financial support of others through prayers and monthly donations. The work of FOCUS is not possible without the generosity of our Mission Partners. It has been an honor to serve alongside my mission partners, and it is because of their sacrifice, generosity, and faithfulness that God’s mission is possible. If you are inspired to participate in the New Evangelization through FOCUS, please contact me. I would love to hear your story and how God is working in your life!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
