God has called me to serve the students at New York University! On campus, I spend most of my time in and around the Catholic Center at NYU talking, eating with, and hanging out with the students I serve. Some of my favorite activities include exploring different restaurants and caf s in Greenwich Village and NoHo, appreciating art at the MET, visiting Central Park, and taking students to Broadway shows! 

While I am taking a brief hiatus from performance, I am thrilled to be serving with FOCUS! As a missionary, my favorite part of my job lies in reaching out to those often on the fringes of the Catholic Church and receiving the many people the Lord brings me, along with hearing about their cultural and life experiences that often differ from my own. Through college, I found myself both inside and outside of my own campus ministry due to my degree in Music Theatre, with my real work happening by simply loving the people in front of me, many of them non-religious, and growing in virtue together, regardless of faith affiliation. “Making disciples of all nations” is impossible when we don’t leave the comfort of our traditionally Catholic spaces and meet people physically and emotionally wherever they are, and I am thrilled I have the privilege of continuing this work in New York City. The students I serve come from all cultural, faith, and economic backgrounds, and walking together towards Christ in our differences is a testament to the beauty of the Universal Church in action. Through the sacraments, prayer, community, and helping the poor and needy around us, we all grow closer to Christ daily, becoming his hands and feet in a city that it is so difficult, yet so rewarding to do so. 

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
